SIREN third-party autofill - Dolibarr module (INSEE Sirene API)

SirenCreatTiers removes manual data entry for French third parties in Dolibarr: type the SIREN number in the "Prof. id 1" field of the creation or edit form, and the module queries the official INSEE Sirene API to fill the form for you. No more approximate company names, mistyped addresses or hand-computed VAT numbers: the data comes from the national register, up to date and typo-free.

The whole form filled in one second

From the SIREN alone, the module fills the company name (and the acronym as alias when available), the head-office address with zip code and town, the head-office SIRET, the APE code, the legal form and the automatically computed intra-community VAT number. A magnifying-glass button triggers the lookup on demand, and the automatic lookup on typing can be disabled in the setup. Input is tolerant to spaces and formatting: "938 582 186" is accepted as is. On creation everything is filled; on edit only empty fields are completed (a setting allows overwriting). For sole traders, the INSEE trade name feeds the card's alternative name.

Ready for French e-invoicing: the directory checked at the source

On every lookup, the module natively checks whether the company is reachable for electronic invoicing by querying the central Peppol directory (SML/SMP), the official machine-facing channel of the French e-invoicing reform covering every approved platform: registered or not, declared reception platform, Factur-X acceptance. When the EInvoicing module is enabled and bound to an approved platform, its standardized directory service (AFNOR XP Z12-013) is also queried and the third party's routing address is prefilled. When the two sources disagree, a single verdict is shown, the positive answer winning. And if the company is not reachable, saving the card asks for a confirmation (can be disabled).

Your cards stay correct over time

A card that was correct on creation day can silently go stale: head office moved, legal form changed, business closed, dropped from the e-invoicing directory. The module runs a periodic check: when a card is opened, its data is compared with the Sirene register and the directory. When differences are found, a banner lists them precisely with two buttons: "Update the card" with the INSEE data, or "Validate as is". A compliant or validated card is left alone for 90 days (configurable).

Useful warnings, quota preserved

The module warns you when the company is administratively closed or under restricted dissemination, and flags an unusual SIREN check digit without blocking input. Responses are cached locally for 30 days to spare the INSEE quota, and the lookup endpoint is restricted to authenticated users with third-party read permission. For foreign companies, Dolibarr's native VIES VAT check remains available; a setting restricts checks to French third parties (enabled by default).

Up and running in minutes

You need a free API key from the INSEE portal (30 requests/minute, 2,000 requests/hour: plenty with the cache). The module's setup page contains a complete step-by-step guide to create that key, with a "Test the connection" button. Enable the module, paste the key, type a SIREN: done.
