1. Module overview
This module turns Dolibarr's intervention sheets into a complete tool for managing field interventions: scheduling, technicians, follow-up, invoicing and signature, adaptable to any line of business (repairs, maintenance, installation, services and more). It relies entirely on Dolibarr's native objects (third parties, interventions, quotations, orders, invoices, agenda): nothing is siloed, everything remains usable by the rest of Dolibarr.
- Each intervention is given a unique number (IE No.) and can be scheduled, assigned to a technician and signed by the customer.
- Services, parts and time spent are invoiced directly from the intervention.
- Labels and menus can be renamed to match the wording of your business.
2. Create an intervention
An intervention is created just like a standard Dolibarr intervention, from the module menu or from a customer's record.
- Select the customer concerned: their contact details and address are filled in automatically.
- Enter the description, the date and the planned duration of the intervention.
- Add the information specific to your business through the custom fields (type, equipment involved, etc.).
- As soon as it is created, an intervention number is assigned and a default time slot can be set automatically.
3. The intervention number (IE No.)
Every intervention carries a unique, sequential number specific to the module (for example IE00001), shown at the top of the record.
- The IE No. is clickable and takes you straight back to the intervention record.
- It is assigned both to interventions created by hand and to those generated automatically.
4. Schedule and move on the planning board
The planning board shows interventions as appointments that you move with the mouse.
- Drag or resize an appointment to change its date, time or duration.
- The record's dates, the time lines and the linked Agenda event follow the move automatically.
- A default (adjustable) scheduling lead time automatically places new interventions X days ahead.
- Technicians' unavailability is flagged to avoid appointment conflicts.
5. Technicians
The module manages the list of technicians and their availability.
- Assign a technician to each intervention.
- View and manage availability from the dedicated menu.
- The planning board takes unavailability into account when assigning a time slot.
6. Recurring interventions
For contracts and regular maintenance, a recurring template automatically generates interventions as they fall due.
- Set the template's frequency, duration and technician.
- At each due date, an already-scheduled intervention is created automatically.
- A 'Schedule in the agenda' checkbox adds the corresponding event to the agenda.
7. Lines to invoice (product, service, time)
From the intervention, add the services, parts and time spent that will be invoiced.
- Add product, service or labor lines.
- Enter the net (excl. tax) or gross (incl. tax) price: the missing amount is calculated automatically.
- Edit or delete each line with the pencil and trash icons, just like in Dolibarr.
- The VAT applied follows the business rule (0% if the customer or the company is not liable for VAT).
8. Issue the invoice
The lines entered on the intervention are used to produce the invoice, with no re-keying.
- Create the invoice directly from the intervention: the priced lines are carried over.
- Group several interventions for the same customer onto a single invoice.
- The invoice remains a native Dolibarr invoice, with all the associated accounting.
9. Customer signature
The customer can sign the intervention to validate the work carried out.
- Enable the signature and make it mandatory from the configuration.
- The signature is stored and can be reviewed in the signature tracking.
10. Adapt the module (configuration)
The configuration lets you tailor the module to the wording and needs of your business.
- Rename the labels of fields and menus (for example 'Vehicle type' to 'Equipment type').
- Choose which custom fields are visible on the records and the PDFs.
- Set the default scheduling lead time and the product used to invoice time.
- Enable the signature and, if needed, per-technician agenda synchronization.
11. Links with Dolibarr
The module does not work in isolation: it integrates with the native building blocks of Dolibarr.
- Customer (third party) : each intervention is attached to a third party and its contacts.
- Invoicing : the intervention's lines feed a native Dolibarr invoice.
- Quotations and orders : the intervention fits into the usual sales cycle.
- Agenda : scheduled interventions can create Agenda events.
- Documents : PDFs and attachments remain managed by Dolibarr.
